station alhambra avenue in virginia hills drive reporter elizabeth cup talked to one driver who had to run for her life. yeah quakes the air here is still thick with the smoke and smell of burning plastic it all started with a car careening down the road. it shows the car almost narrowly missing another car and then going over the center divider and careening into a gas pump and that is when the entire gas pump practically exploded. that board focus exploded and then the other one exploded. a viewer sent us this video flames licking up the side of fuel, oil gas station. >>> it started out with flames and explosions. she had just pulled into the station to fill up her mitsubishi. she was parked on the few feet away. my initial thought was that i would go back to my car: ocelots and drive away but then there was fire selo i decided to run. >>> quick thinking by this guy stopped in a bad situation for getting much worse. and now we are on fire. i hit the emergency shutoff switch and ran back into the building and all of use breakers and bigger panel turned off the main switch all the pomp s

virginia, kentucky, a new area is coming its way. the trajectory is going to be a little southerly. we are not a prime target. we will probably be on the north edge. for the game tonight, the forecast, as the game starts a little after 7:00, it will be in the low 70's and there will be a lot of clouds and maybe a brief shower. it is a big navy. by the time we finish the game, 10:00 or 11:00, we think the rain shower chance will probably be a little higher toward the end of the game but still not a guarantee and temperatures will drop to the upper 60's. yes, if you have some kind of poncho you can wear to the game, i would do that. but we would probably get away with the game sometime this evening. maybe a brief delay. we will talk more about the forecasts going into the weekend in a few minutes. >> a baltimore city police are investigating two separate shootings were the victims are women. the most recent case happened just after 9:00 in the 400 block of south agusta ave. police say the victim, and 18- year-old woman, was found inside a car with a gunshot wound to the head. south balti

romney ads all the time. so are you, north carolina and nevada and florida and ohio and virginia. the eight states that are being targeted in the ad campaign, an ad campaign so big the campaign describes it as a carpet bombing. and this list of states, the states you see marked on the map right here, that is pretty much where the election is going to be fought from here on out. this map, you will notice, doesn't include all of the places we have been thinking about and talking about as swing states. the romney is not placing ads in michigan, wisconsin or pennsylvania. the super pacs have pulled their ads from michigan. romney is trailing in michigan by as much as seven points there. the pro romney pac money has dropped out of pennsylvania where romney is also behind in the polls. the romney campaign and pacs together, of course, have more money than god and mick jagger combined, so they could still decide to spend money wherever, whenever. this almost have infinite resources in terms of ad dollars in this campaign season. unless something changes in their strategy, it looks like

is community members gather to remember a well-known family dead in their virginia home. this comes as many questions remain unanswered this morning. news 4's melissa mollet joins us live from herndon now with the latest on the investigation. melissa, good morning. >> good morning to you, aaron. that's right. we just spoke with investigators. they say the bodies have been removed from the home here in herndon, and the autopsies are scheduled forred today. investigators will be back out here again this morning. they were out here 15 hours from yesterday at noon until early this morning. we'll be back out here in just a little while. one officer has been out here on the scene since about midnight, just keeping this scene secure. they are still not saying at this point what they think happened to this family. take a look at things from out here yesterday. we know a mother and father and two teenage boys lived in the house. when the mother didn't show up for the work on monday and tuesday, a co-worker called police. they say there is no threat to the community. though the families' identities h
